What I'm doing for NapoWriMo 2026

I am going to attempt to write and post a new poem for every day in April to celebrate National Poetry Month.

I am also going to attempt to document my process and discuss what prompt I am using.

I am going to start each day by looking at https://www.napowrimo.net/ for the daily prompt. But I know from past attempts at NaPoWriMo that I very quickly throw that prompt in the metaphorical trash or at least heavily alter it every day. I am going to talk about that, discuss how hard or easy the poems come each day and share any tips for poetry writing etc. that I come up with along the way.

In university workshops, in my opinion, they teach you everything about poetry except how to actually create a good one.
